Humbly Changing and Growing in Grace

Has any one of us ever said that our own beliefs are wrong, and someone else’s beliefs are right? I don’t think so, because what we believe is just what we believe, whether it’s correct or not, and there is so much to debate about religion. There are so many thoughts and ideas, so many interpretations, and so many different "church fathers" to agree with.

There are a lot of things that I once declared dogmatically that I no longer hold to, yet I see God lovingly having His arms around me the whole time, being patient with my inaccuracies, not really rebuking me, but continuing to gently lead me as a wise Father would.

And when we recognize that our own beliefs have evolved as we have continued to learn from the Lord’s leading, it’s difficult to think that our theology right now is the absolute truth. Will it not continue to evolve? And if we know this, why would we disparage another believer in Christ for standing in their place of evolving belief?

So now here I am, knowing that there is so much that I do not know, and God is a big, wonderful mystery.

But there is one thing that has filled my heart, one thing that is so perfectly Divine, one thing that speaks to me, counsels me, comforts me, fathers me, and that is Love.

God is Love. There is no other.

Christ the Savior revealed Him to me. He is the Truth and He is my Life.

I have many uncertainties about many theological things, but I have found Love, or rather Love has found me. I have come home.

I hope you can feel that Love today.
