Wealthy Souls

Today I am thinking about (and being grateful for) the true riches of God! His Spirit continues to take us into more peace, joy, love, and goodness. These internal blessings are what make us truly wealthy. He is restoring our souls.

I had lived on earth for around forty years before I truly tasted peace in my soul. Many of those years, I was a Christian minister pursuing peace. A lot of my attention was on getting “more”, (more anointing, more people in my church, more money, more anything.) There was always something “wrong” that needed to be fixed. It’s hard to rest inside when you are always chasing a fix.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” – Deut. 8:3

In the context of this verse, God was reminding the people that He fed them bread from heaven. They never lacked for clothing or shoes. When they needed water, it came miraculously. If snakes bit them, they were healed. If enemies came at them, God would go before them and defeat them.

All of their external needs were supplied!

But internally, they were still fearful, complaining, jealous, angry, and selfish. God said that they had seen His works for forty years, but they never learned His ways (love, joy, peace, etc.)

You have a life source forever. God’s expression of love and life is the eternal supplier of your existence. It comes from within you, because that is where He is.

Heaven is not just some place you go when you die. The kingdom of Heaven is within you. From there we experience the bountiful riches of Life. It is truly like a spring of water that never runs dry, and it insures our validity, our safety, our eternity, and our worth forever. This is the eternal life that we possess, and it overcomes a sense of lack or insufficiency.

Our faith is effective when we acknowledge that good thing inside us. We hope you will take time to do that today.
