You Are Fully Understood

"My understanding is incomplete now, but one day I will understand everything, just as everything about me has been fully understood."

- 1 Corinthians 13:12 TPT

I've often heard the question, "Do you know Jesus?", or "Does that person know Jesus?", or when someone has died, "Did he/she know Jesus?".

But how many times have you heard the question, "Does Jesus know him/her?"

Does He know you? And if so, when did that relationship begin?

"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." - Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV

"You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother's womb. I Thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! - Psalms 139:13-14 TPT

You have always been known. You have always had a place. The One who knows you is always drawing you to Himself, drawing you toward absolute, full, and complete Love. As we come to know God more, we become more astonished at the beauty and power of Love, and we become more engulfed in its rapturous freedom.

But really, do any of us know the depths and far-reaching capabilities of the One who is Love? Do we understand very much about the Love that created all things? The Love that reconciled the world unto Himself? The Love that hung on a tree?

So, if the question is, "Do I know Jesus?",  we can only speak in very relative terms.

But the better question, the question that has power, that gives hope, and can free us from the shame of the original deception, is "Does Jesus know you?"

And the answer is a resounding, yes! He does know you, and he understands you.

"Farther than from a sunrise to a sunset - that's how far you've removed our guilt from us. The same way a loving father feels toward his children - that's but a sample of your tender feelings toward us, your beloved children, who live in awe of you. You know all about us, inside and out. You are mindful that we're made from dust." - Psalms 103:12-14 TPT
