Grace For Forgiveness

Forgiveness can be challenging, especially when we feel the pain of a perceived wrong done to us. Our bodies are created with a nervous system designed to protect us and keep us alive. When we experience pain or hurt, our nervous system triggers a response to keep us safe. This can lead to a closing of our hearts in fear of further pain. This protective response can make it challenging to forgive, as our instinct is to avoid situations or people that could, potentially, cause us pain.

But we do have help! We have help because we have this thing called Eternal Life living in us, and He provides something that goes beyond our natural instincts.

In situations where we feel stuck, God invites us to participate in this Life of righteousness, peace, and joy. It’s a gentle invitation that is rooting for our victory. It is not demanding, as if it’s enforcing a law, because a law never gives us the ability to keep the law. Instead, He gives grace, understanding, and supernatural wisdom and power.

It’s good for us to remember and be aware of this wonderful Divine Life that is in us. If we listen, we can hear Him calling us and teaching us the way we were always created to live.

God is so good, kind, and gentle with us. We are growing, and we won’t end up the way we currently are. Everything we need, we already have within us.

Have a great day. We believe in you!
