Drawn to Love

We are being drawn to Love, drawn to the knowledge of He who is holy. It is the intent, the delight, and the very plan of God.

We are experiencing a progressive revelation of God, personally. We continue to understand more than we did before. Our vision becomes clearer and we see increase in the fruit of the Spirit as we come into more love, joy and peace.

Progressive: (adj.) happening or developing gradually or in stages; proceeding step by step.

Historical data shows humans are becoming less accepting of violence and oppression, and we keep moving more toward equality for those who were once outcast or minimalized. Humanity keeps trending toward the ways of the Father.

“But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone, that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight these things. – Jer. 9: 24

We can see that the Bible itself is a progressive revelation of God. From the man who was ashamed and afraid in the garden, to God showing something of Himself to polytheists, barbarians, oppressors, legalists, and finally culminating in Jesus, who was full of grace and truth, revealing a loving Father with no separation between us.

“Eternal life means to know and experience You as the only true God.” – John 17:3
“Learn My ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in Me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”– Matt. 11:29-30

Nothing can stop the ongoing unveiling of Christ. While there may still be much evil being done, and many obstacles, deceptions and traditions, Love will outlast them all. His kingdom is like a mustard seed, and though it seemed to start small, it increases unto a gigantic tree where all the birds can find rest.

“Of the increase of His government and of peace, there will be no end.” – Isaiah 9:7

Can we stop the sun from rising in the morning? Could anyone stop Jesus? Could they keep Him from rising from the dead? They could seal the tomb. They could put guards in front of it, but they could not stop what was sure to happen. They could not stop the dawn of the new day!

“Let us know. Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning.” - Hosea 6:3

There is much we do not know about God and His infinite Love, but we will know more. Jesus brought us into a new day of revelation, and this day of righteousness will only burn brighter and brighter (Prov. 4:18).

It is darker behind us, and lighter before us. Those of us with the vision and the twinkle in our eyes are running toward Love. We have found what we were looking for, and we will enjoy the ongoing revelation of its vastness forever.

Enjoy the light.
